Privacy Policy

Cosy Calf Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) of Sandpits Poultry Farm, Drimpton, Nr Beaminster, Dorset, DT8 3RB is the data controller for cosycalf.co.uk. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What We Collect

  • Order & account details: name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number, and order history, collected when you buy through our shop or by phone.
  • Payment information: processed securely by our payment provider — we do not store your full card details ourselves.
  • Enquiries: name, email and message content when you use our contact form.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address, if you choose to subscribe, via Mailchimp.
  • Usage & cookies: analytics data about how you use our site (see Cookies below).

Why We Use It

  • To fulfil and deliver your order, and manage payments, refunds and returns (performance of a contract).
  • To respond to enquiries you send us (performance of a contract / legitimate interest).
  • To send you our newsletter, only if you’ve opted in (consent — you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email).
  • To understand site usage and improve the website (legitimate interest, or consent for non-essential cookies).
  • To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping order records for accounting purposes.

Who We Share It With

We share personal data only where necessary: our payment gateway provider to process card payments, our courier(s) to deliver your order, Mailchimp if you subscribe to our newsletter, and Google Analytics for anonymised website usage statistics. We do not sell your personal data.

How Long We Keep It

We keep order and account records for as long as needed to meet our legal and tax obligations (normally 6 years), enquiry messages for as long as needed to resolve them, and newsletter details until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

We use cookies for essential site functions (like the shopping basket) and, with your consent, for analytics. You can manage or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in our site footer.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability where applicable.
